Parc Provence, a residential nursing care center for those with dementia, presents its 2nd Annual Therapeutic Art Exhibit titled, "Remember Me: Putting the Pieces Together," highlighting the many therapeutic benefits that art therapy brings about in the work with people who have dementia. Through work in art therapy, caretakers, family and loved ones can begin to learn more about the person who has dementia; their struggles, memories, achievements, wishes, hopes, etc. This year’s show taps into how art therapy helps us to learn more and more about the individual with dementia through their art work.
This year Parc Provence is highlighting works by one lady who is aware of her dementia and has been creating brains to process her dementia and another lady who is grieving the loss of her husband. She creates art about wonderful times they have shared.
